We thought you might be interested in some strategies that might help you win prizes :)
Basic Information for Strategies
1. Competitions generally start on Mondays at 6pm EST and end on Thursdays 6pm EST
2. Competitions usually run for 2 weeks to a month
3. Prize positions are listed on the games Information Page (intro page)
4. 1st place is always a prize position
5. All other listed prize positions are usually NOT consecutive and are rarely near 1st place
6. When not listed, prize positions are chosen at Random digitally from all players (except 1st place) regardless of position
7. A player cannot win more than 1 prize per competition so any other winning positions they may hold will be passed over to the next position
8. The only use for the time clock is to break a tie score
9. Players can play a game up to 3 times to get closer to potential winning positions
10. Player positions change as more players and plays occur so it is a good idea to keep checking
11. Playing again close to a game closing may make a prize position an easier target to attain
12. You may want to aim for a lower score if it gets you closer to a prize position
13. See 14
14. For items or areas you may not be familier with, it may help to search online for info during play
Below are more details if you are interested.
If you are a competitive person your goal may be in placing high scores. If this is the case we
recommend you play our practice games before an actual competition to hone your skills.
You can play any game as many as 3 times if you want. The very first time you play you have a chance
to get the highest score because you have access to 100% of the points in a game (you cannot actually
get 100% of the points because you must erase some part of the top layer before it allows you
to choose an answer). Games start at the highest point score and go down so your job is to hold onto
points not lose them (the less you erase, the less your score goes down).
The second time you play a game your top score can only be 80% of the original game points and the
third play your score can only be 40% of the original points in that game.
So to attain the highest possible score, it's best to do it on the first play.
Each segment (picture) in a game starts with 500 points so if in your first play you see a starting
point score of 2500 that means there are 5 segments (pictures) in that game.
At the end, the final question is an extra credit map that will add (if you get it correct) 100 additional points.
Getting the map question wrong will not make you lose points you will just not gain any.
The picture segment points decrease as you erase so the less you erase to choose an answer, the
higher your score for that segment.
Each time you choose an incorrect answer you will lose 100 points, so be sure before you pick one.
You can lose more than 500 points on a segment if you keep choosing incorrect answers and that is
how you can actually get a negative score. You might want to just click next and give up 100 points.
Don't fret if you get a low or negative score though because prizes are not given to the highest scores
with the exception of FIRST place which always wins a prize. Other prizes however can be given out
either at Random or in an order that is usually NOT Consecutive such as 1st, 14th, 67th, 209th, etc.
This means even last place can win a prize in a Random position game. This brings another strategy to the game.
You may not want a high score and want to aim for a winning position. This gets tricky because as people play,
player positions will change. You may purposely pick incorrect answers to lower your score to aim for a prize position.
Remember you can play up to 3 times per game. It may pay to check in every so often to try to grab a
winning position as positions change especially near the end of a game. The winner of a prize is whoever has a
prize position at the END of the game (when the game has closed).
The more people that register and play a game the better it can be for winning a prize. The reason is,
if we hit particular thresholds of players in a game, 2 things can happen: prize amounts can increase;
the number of prizes can increase. This is based on revenue that is brought into the game as traffic increases.
The more players and the more plays of a game, the greater the prize potential so spread the word
to family and friends to join in and play!!!
We would wish you Good Luck but it is more skill then luck :)
Have Fun!!!!!
